Every student. Every teacher. Every voice.

I believe that every voice matters. As a candidate for Pasco County School Board, my priorities center around strengthening the entire student and family lifecycle in our school system. I believe our students and schools thrive when we keep a focus on the things that matter most- empowering students, supporting teachers, listening to parents, and ensuring every child receives a world-class education that prepares them for college, careers, and life.

Priorities

Student Success

Our students' futures are only as bright as the light we shine on them now. We must ensure each and every student is met with high-quality instruction, resources, and opportunities to achieve success from day one through graduation. We must be proactive in ensuring the integrity of each student's educational experience.

Remain Competitive

We must address declining enrollment head-on by ensuring our schools remain safe, competitive, and responsive to the needs of families. Conducting exit interviews with families who choose private, charter, or homeschool options will provide valuable insight into the factors influencing their decision. Understanding these reasons will help us identify trends, address concerns, and develop solutions that better meet the needs of students and families in the future.

Transparency

Proactive, relevant, and transparent communication is essential to building and maintaining trust in our school system. Families should have timely access to the information they need to confidently navigate their child's unique educational journey. Strong communication also strengthens relationships with community partners, creating opportunities to expand collaborations that benefit students, families, and schools throughout our district.

Safety

The well-being of our students, teachers, and staff requires a proactive approach that includes strong safety measures, accessible mental health resources, and effective communication systems. We must also support student behavior policies that promote safe, orderly learning environments, maximize instructional time, and allow teachers to focus on classroom instruction while prioritizing the safety of both students and staff.

Teacher Retention

Retention is more than just keeping our teachers, it's about valuing their expertise, listening to their needs, and creating an environment where they can flourish along with their students. Student success is directly related to teacher success- if we fail our teachers, we fail our students.

Fiscal Responsibility & Planning

We must take a proactive approach in planning for the evolving needs of our district. This includes ensuring transparent, accountable, and fiscally responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. As Pasco County continues to evolve, our schools must be prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities presented. Strategic planning and responsible resource management are essential to keeping our public schools competitive and responsive to the needs of students, families, and our community.
